The report accused that the Chinese communist regime had dumped 1.1 million Uyghurs in torture camps. After this, many countries are openly raising their voice against China over the Uyghur issue. The United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and Canada have blamed that the atrocities showered by the Chinese Communist regime on the Uyghurs is nothing but genocide. Such efforts have also started in other countries of the world, making China more and more restless.

Intense concerns were expressed over the atrocities against the Uyghurs, and an insistent demand was made during the UN Human Rights Commission meeting held in Geneva that China must allow the independent unbiased observers, along with the US officials, to enter the Xinjiang province. More than 40 countries supported a statement issued in that respect. After that, the foreign department of the European Union also published an independent report regarding the Uyghur issue.

The statement indicated that the Union’s stand regarding the Xinjiang province would be made stronger. Incidents of the companies in Xinjiang using the Uyghurs as bonded labour also had been reported. The foreign department of the European Union had said that strict regulations would be published for these companies. The statement also mentioned the atrocities showered by the Chinese Communist regime on the Uyghurs. China has been highly agitated with this and has fired a salvo of criticism at the European Union.

But China has accused that the conditions put by the European Union regarding the visit to Xinjiang province cannot be fulfilled. China stated that these conditions would not be acceptable to any sovereign country, which only shows the European Union’s dual-faced nature. China also accused that the Union is trying to interfere in Chinese internal matters.

The United States and the European Union are warning China that the trampling of human rights in China cannot be ignored. At the same time, China is delivering a message that it is willing to confront the westerners on this issue. This has brought trade cooperation between the European Union and China under threat. As per China, it does not pay any heed to it.
