As per the information given by a leading US news agency, President Joe Biden is trying to break the shackles of the Iran nuclear deal. President Biden is proposing a fresh nuclear deal for this purpose. The Biden administration had expressed willingness to relax the sanctions against Iran if Iran had stopped the activities in the nuclear program. This included reduction in the Uranium enrichment process started with the use of advanced centrifuges. Two officials connected with the developments gave this information to the US news agency.

Official details of whether the Biden administration proposed this to Iran are not available. But Iran has given a vitriolic reaction to these reports in the US media. Iranian President Hassan Rouhani lashed out at the United States in strong words. President Rouhani reminded that Iranian supremo Ayatollah Khamenei has already clarified that if the United States is ready to abide by the 2015 nuclear deal, Iran will discharge its duties.

Iranian President warned that this would have been in the interest of this sector, the United States and the world. But the United States will never realise that it has missed this golden opportunity. The Biden administration in the United States has drifted far away from the Iranian reality; they are pushing the United States into a crisis. President Rouhani criticised that it is most unfortunate that the Biden administration does not have sufficient information regarding Iran. At the same time, Rouhani added that Iran did not start the economic war but still abided by the terms of the agreement for more than a year.

The Iranian President retorted that if the United States desires, it can withdraw the sanctions imposed against Iran in one day, but the Biden administration is not interested in doing so. But despite having a desire, it is not easy for the Biden administration to decide for Iran, as Biden could face stiff opposition from US allies like Israel and Saudi Arabia and even from the opposition parties in the United States. This is apparently the reason that the Biden administration is taking a cautious stand regarding Iran.
