Australia is taking revenge against China, accuses Chinese mouthpiece

Washington: – A Chinese mouthpiece accused that the Australian government is looking at the Chinese government as an opposing ideology; the decision that China is a threat is emerging from this stand. Chinese daily, People’s Daily accused that the new Australian decision also to take revenge against China. Australia has strongly dismissed the accusations.

Since the last few months, a trade war has flared up between Australia and China. China has started restricting Australian products one after the other. China is giving evasive answers to the Australian queries in this regard. Therefore, Australia has decided to raise this issue, directly in the World Trade Organisation. Simultaneously, the Australian government has warned that it will not succumb to any pressures exerted by China.

The Australian government’s decisions and the related reports have been the reason for the Chinese trade war against Australia over the last two years. It was observed that the Chinese influence was increasing tremendously in the industry, technology, education sectors, along with the political sector. Australia started a spate of new laws and aggressive decisions to stop this Chinese interference. At the same time, Australia also demanded an inquiry into the Coronavirus pandemic, which spread across the entire globe, adopting a firm stand against China. Australia disregarded the Chinese pressure on the issues like the South China Sea, Hongkong and 5G. China is extremely agitated with this and started issuing threats and warnings. The new warning issued by the Chinese mouthpiece has the background of the new law passed by the Australian parliament a few days ago. As per this law, the Australian Prime Minister has been awarded the powers to cancel agreements signed by the provinces and institutions with any foreign country. The Victoria province has signed several agreements with China and there are indications that these powers will be used against these agreements. This has infuriated the Chinese government and therefore, it is attempting to threaten Australia through the mouthpiece.

But strong reactions are being received on the international level, regarding these Chinese activities and the Australian allies and partners have assured that they would stand firmly behind Australia. A few days ago, the Five Eyes Alliance, the leading group of intelligence agencies, had indicated taking steps to cooperate with Australia.
