Over 60 Al-Shabab terrorists killed in Somalian military's actionLast month, on October 29, al-Shabaab killed 120 people in twin car bomb blasts in the capital, Mogadishu. After that, a joint operation was launched by the Somali and African Union armies to eliminate Al-Shabaab terrorists. More than 49 terrorists were killed in an operation by the army in Bulo-Madino village of the Lower Shabelle region of Somalia. The Somali Army announced that it had destroyed a large cache of Al-Shabaab weapons in this attack. The Somali Army used airstrikes for this operation.

In the last few days, military operations are claimed to have captured 68 divisions in central and southern Somalia from the control of terrorists. But over the next two days, al-Shabaab militants attacked an army base in Galgadud province on Friday, warning the Somali government. Terrorists launched a suicide attack in Kayib village here. A few days ago, the Somali Army liberated the village of Kabiya from Al-Shabaab. Therefore, al-Shabaab has threatened the Somali government and army by launching a suicide attack in this village.

After this, 15 Al-Shabaab terrorists were killed in operation by the Somali Army. However, the United Nations and international organisations are warning that the threat of Al-Shabaab has not decreased. In other parts of Somalia, Al-Shabaab is claimed to have greater influence. The Somali government has launched an anti-al-Shabaab TV channel to end this influence. Also, the government of Somalia has appealed that the peacekeepers of the African Union should not withdraw from here.

Al-Shabaab, a terrorist organisation, affiliated with Al-Qaeda, has carried out terrorist attacks in Somalia and neighbouring countries since 2007. The government and the army in Somalia are on the target of this terrorist organisation. There was a discussion of the decline of Al-Shabaab’s influence in the intervening period. But since 2018, Al-Shabaab has again increased its attacks in Somalia. In 2018, 651 people were killed in Al-Shabaab attacks and in 2019, 591 people were killed.
