The Greek newspaper reported that news about violence in Spin Boldak and Kandahar region along the Afghan-Pakistan border has been suppressed.  Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) has carried out large scale attacks on the Pakistani army in Waziristan and other parts along the border. Many Pakistani soldiers have lost their lives. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has confirmed ongoing discussion with some of these groups. However, the attacks on the Pakistani military have not yet stopped.

Taliban had threatened not to accept the Durand Line, a border that separates Afghanistan- Pakistan. The Greek newspaper reminded that both the Taliban groups – Afghans and the TTP- have the same ideology. Hence Taliban has refused to support Pakistan on the issue of Tehreek-e-Taliban. The threat to Pakistan security from the terrorist outfits has increased.

In this situation, Pakistan is supporting the Taliban and pressuring the world community to accept it, citing the humanitarian crisis and misery of the Afghan people. Greek newspaper has warned that Pakistan’s support to the Taliban will worsen the problem in the region.
