Number of 5G users will reach 350 million by 2025, claims Ericsson

New Delhi: The telecom company Ericsson has claimed that the number of 5G users in India will reach 350 million by the year 2025. 5G services have still not started in India, and the company predicted that the services would begin in 2021.

The company claimed that 5G services would be created in the country in 2021, meaning within the next few months. The Ericsson company claimed that the number of 5G users would rise substantially, given the low cost of smartphones and low broadband tariffs.

The number of 5G users in the world would have crossed 3.5 billion by 2026. Out of these, 350 million will be Indian customers. This is a whopping 27% of the total mobile users in the country.

The company published a report by the name Ericsson Mobility Report. As of today, 15% of the global population, amounting to 1 billion people, are using 5G services.
